Individual Therapy
I work primarily with adults, from college-age to seniors. I offer therapy for people experiencing a wide range of problems and diagnoses. I primarily work with depression, anxiety, relationship issues and other issues of daily living and work on understanding the whole person.
We will spend the first few sessions understanding all the variables that might be impacting what brings you to therapy. We will then collaborate on a treatment plan together based on understanding not only what the evidence recommends as best treatment but also what works for you best.
I am flexible in how I work and tailor treatment not only to what the evidence suggests works but also to what you will find the most helpful and feel would best address your issues. The process is collaborative and transparent and we will pay attention to how therapy is going with regular check ins to make sure the treatment plan we come up with together is working.
I typically work for 15-30 sessions but adjust therapy duration in consultation with my clients and depending what they want and need. For some people that is shorter and for others longer. After the initial sessions we will discuss options for treatment and collaboratively decide what will make best sense for you based on your preferences and goals.

My Story
I have worked in a wide range of settings - originally with the homeless and as a social worker in London before moving to America and becoming a psychologist. I have since worked as an academic teaching and training doctoral students in clinical psychology; as an executive leading a behavioral health system and as a consultant and researcher. These experiences have all impacted me in different ways as a therapist and have fed a curiosity about people and life that remains central to my work.
